Hi, has anyone out there used navigation software with an Apple computer? Is there any software written for Apples? I have used Maxsea on a PC and it was excellent.

Hi - I use a mac but have not used any mac based software for nav. i would be interested in having a look. I do believe that a good quality plotter using high quality charts is the first level for tech nav. These units are designed for the setting, and the marine environment tends to be harsh on all things. So they may be less likely to let you down, we maintain multiple levels of nav systems but I do not yet have a mac based system. The US may be the place to look, good luck, ( iwill forward info if i find one ).

Hi Rambler,

Thanks for the info. I followed up the lead and found Macenc.com. It's looking good.
