Hi all
I'm doing a rewire of my catamaran and I'm moving a bit of stuff around.
One thing I want to do is run all the nav lights from a bus board in the front unused section. To do this I need to run a main line from the switch panel to the bus board before they all split off to their separate lights. My issue is the conduit that takes the electricals around the boat is getting a little tight so I was hoping to downsize the 6mm twin for 4mm twin to supply the bus board. I'm running LED Port & Starboard and LED stern lights and a festoon steaming light but I'm having trouble finding their current needs.
Will 4mm supply enough juice or do I need to stick with the 6mm?

4mm diameter will handle about 35 amps, so all your lights should be good with that.

If you're only running LED then 4mm should be heaps unless you're talking big lights. The drop over the distance shouldn't matter.

No problems with LEDs on 4mm.

Cool, my gut feeling was that it would be fine but not being able to get any numbers was a worry.
I'll run with the 4mm.
