Do you really want to fit a Kiwi prop?

I had a pair on a cat, they had no pitch control in reverse and were drastically overpitched, so reversing into a berth was just too exciting. Also propwalked, also left a rough wake so they must be sus for efficiency, also shed propspeed in less than six months and came out of the water just one solid mass of barnacles.
So I'm not a fan.

Thanks phoenixstar, it's a bit late for me, I will keep an eye on it/hopefully I won't have similar issuies. I will be on a swing mooring so reverse will only be used sporadically, but will be mindful when docking etc

I have a kiwi prop fitted on my yacht, a lidgard 35, 3GM30 motor with saildrive, fitted the kiwi prop after loosing a 2 bladed folding prop. Didn't notice any reduction in sailing speed, no vibration when motoring, biggest difference was how well reverse worked. Because the reverse pitch is set at max, motor will only get to 1500 revs in reverse, takes a little more time to get up to speed in reverse than going forward, but can get more than enough speed. Just have to make sure i dont let the steering wheel go. I reverse into my pen, no problems in most conditions.
