Everybody should be aware that there is no such thing as a "cheap"or "free"yacht.

I have lost count of the number of storys on here about lonely old men coming to a disaster with their dream of living a vagabond's life at sea on a yacht (usually their first and only) on a shoestring budget. It never works.

There's no doubt that the world has a good proportion of Aholes. Luckily it's not all, when we bought our ol boat we negotiated very generous terms to pay it off, the boat wasn't signed over till we payed her out. Old mate could of been a dock head but was a gentleman and signed her over pronto on the final payment. In the case of water bird new mate could strip all his additions launch the vessel & scuttle her, the registered owner would be liable for recovery, so many ways to skin a cat,
