i recall someone tinting there windows , I'm currently in the progress of doing the same. 1 out of 8 completed today . What boat posted tinting windows? Can't find it on "what did you do to your boat today" ?

Good , I have just done 4 out of 8 in the past two days! What a job but worth it.
Massive difference in climate control and privacy. Can see out clear and can't see in, can leave the curtains open day and night and not get blinded by the pesky sun.
What product did you use? I used altrex dark smoke 20% vlt.

What product is that?

Was thinking to use internal tint on mine but the perspex was already pitted and scratched with one of the windows cracked so I bough a sheet of dark smokey grey perspex and used the old windows as templates. A bit more pricey but no film to bubble or crack. Only downside is the limited choice of colors and no mirror finish.

I'm guessing you either bought a very small roll or your boat has more windows then the average house ?
When I did the house I bought the commercial 30M roll of 20% and a 10M roll of 35% for the windows and sliding doors fronting the neighbors window to avoid any mismatch issues problems and 1.5M wide to reduce wastage as most window heights were in the 1200-1500 range. Even if there are 2 different batches and may not be an exact match they should still be close enough not to notice the difference with naked eye.

When you compared them did you compare 2 pieces of window tint with backing still on them or did you compare the new roll with backing still on against the tint on your window in which case could the backing account for the blue tinge ?

I spoke to the Australian distributior yesterday and they confirmed some suppliers sell old and new stock, the problem arises when the distributior changes brands of tint but obviously renames it's there brand again , they have happily sent me another two rolls that hopefully will match the original but if it doesn't I will have enough to do all 8 windows again.!
