One of the best long keel cruising yachts ever built. Usually heavy fibreglass hulls but this one is Oregon. Nice fit out, diesel that needs sorting, winches and pushpit /pullpit. Has mast and sails but would be the perfect hull for a junk rig conversion. Stuck at $102!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good find, absolutely I agree. Very sensible interior layout for a 27ft'er.
small enough too that an outboard could go on the transom and do-away with the diesel

Diesel looks to be Volvo Md7a. Should be good for another 30 years!

Why a junk rig? It worries me that much of the propaganda on the Junk Rig Association site is so biased and inaccurate. It makes it hard to believe much of what they say.

Just my two bobs worth, Chris I'm sure there's more than one way to skin a cat, ( or a mono ) I recon that a long keel boat is possibly more suited to a more traditional rig be it junk, gaff, lug, lanteen, but that being said I ain't going to re rig with triangle sails to prove the point

Always been a fan and if I was to sail offshore in a slow long keeler that would be my choice of rig.

I have read some weird ads but this one looks like an auto translation from another language.
Maybe not so, but,from this

9 allo boom and mast stored near yacht 10 has sails need to be re cut to fit yacht

it would seem that either the mast fits the boat and the sails are not from it or visa versa.
So maybe Ramona's suggestion to re-rig as a junk seems reasonable.
A lot of work needs to be done before that, though.

The boat has never been rigged. The mast and sails sound like they have to be modified to use.

Got a similar timber yacht near me in much better condition and already the new owner has spent $10,000 with at least another 15K to get her back to original condition.

Reckon this one will see 20K disappear easily. $510 on ebay now

Absolutely correct. It needs to be seen for what it is, a money / time pit.
