Maritime charge 500 for the mooring. Theyre subleasing it.for 1500

$500 to rms but i think you'll find it is more than that as Rose Bay is a premium area
What about the cost of servicing?
Your mate John has had a pretty deal he would probably still be on a waiting list for a spot. If he didn't try to pull a swifty he wouldn't be in this situation.

How was john pulling a swifty? you mean by renting a mooring off someone in rose bay?
servicing is about 200 tops.
i waited 3 months for a mooring in the harbour, not rose bay, but i wouldnt wann abe in rose bay. horrible place for a mooring i think.

He chose not to go on a waiting list and to bypass it his actions are no more pure then what you are saying the Rothschild are for renting the morning out to be able to keep the mooring in tose bay. He was part of a scam personally i think go for it and have no problem with them coming to an agreement about the mooring my point was John was part of it went in to it knowing it was a bit dodgy now you are complaining that the Rothschild have charged an extra $1000 a year whoch is reasonable.
As for you wanting a mooring in rose or you opinion of rose bay is irrelevant to my statement when I purchased my boat from the harbour i couldn't wait to get it out if it. Overpriced overcrowded and ripped off are my thoughts of Sydney harbour .
Off this is anyone else getting some weird popups from this site? I'm only getting it here every time I click on something.

he didnt know any better mate before you go assuming. hes from the us. met the people at the sail club. the rothschilds are dishonest and if youd read this post properly about them taking the boat to be antifouled after john had been asking them for the papers etc and avoiding john then you might see it different. anyway mate, your opinion matters not and this whole post isnt about the mooring really. so unless youve got something helpful to add, dont bother. Luckily theres been some great help here and ill be sailing on saturday, YES

He meets some guy in a club this guys says don't worry about the waiting list use my mooring but you will have to register your boat in my name !! How gullible is he?

I never commented on this part and yes if what you say here is true then they have conned him but we are only getting one side.
anyway mate, your opinion matters not and this whole post isnt about the mooring really. so unless youve got something helpful to add,

So by helpful you mean saying poor you and poor John and how dare they charge him for using their mooring. Steve john broke the law and yes from your story the Rothschild are best avoided are you like one if these gen y whi cant be told they are wrong? All I pointed out was john has done wrong too and why isn't he the one sorting it iut instead of you?
As others have said it all sounds weird and you may just be getting yourself into a situation like John did.
dont bother. Luckily theres been some great help here and ill be sailing on saturday, YES

dunno??
i didnt have insurance on my bluebird and had her lifted.
So the Rothschilds actually broke into the boat so get her lifted. locks/hatch is broken.
went to RMS after doing the HIN code stuff. Too complex for late friday arvo so Have to wait til next week as they are getting the legal department on to it.
Maritime should have more contact details for these people, as we only have a mobile # which they do not answer anymore.
So the rothschilds will have some answering to do. they recently had the boat re registered in the wifes name now. theyve changed the ownership details. THey will not be able to prove they purchased the boat. Theyre stuffed i hope. Pigs.
the saga continues. JUst more delightful, honest people in society.

What a mess. Only thing I can add sector steve is follow up trying to contact the original owner in qld.
If it ends in court ( and I feel it never will) any bit of paper or witness will help it go johns way.

It must be a bummer. ..you don't have your old boat...your dream boat is right there but you cant touch her.

Feeling sad for you

This is all old news chopes. Boats been mine for 8 months now. I got the papers etc from the guy who had the mooring(not the boat owner) After paying 4500 in costs incurred as a result of the boat being on his mooring for 18 months. Shes in my name and i got everyone to sign stuff. its all sweet.
