In the southern hemisphere low pressure system rotate clockwise as in the pic you posted in the northern hemisphere it's the opposite. The coriolis effect..

We rarely if ever get a warm front at Sydney.
This is a broad generalisation, it doesn't happen every time, but it is the pattern for a COLD front.
As the front approaches you have an increasing nor easter, warm to hot winds in summer. As the front passes through the wind backs to a sou wester and often strong. The wind then backs further to a sou easter. Given some days it backs to a nor easter.
And so it goes, usually.
Without mapping it out, It appears to me that a warm front would do the opposite and veer as it passes. A very quick google search tells me this is correct.

to add clarity or confusion, a low air pressure area is warm air rising, thus putting less weight/ pressure downward. As it rises the heavier colder air rushes in to fill the void.
