hello all
i'm new here in sydney. looking to get out for a sail at some point if anyone has a free spot on their boat. I'm english but have spent the last several years in barcelona. i have a little 9m kirie feeling back there sitting in the dry area....was a bit of a long way to bring her with me!though she needs a good drying out so it's not hurting! i'm obviously pretty competent as have been sailing for several years and have spent time sorting out endless broken things...the joys of being a yacht owner! anyway i'd like to get out and am happy to help out with any maintenance to earn my keep..always good to learn new things fixing boats too
let me know....
all the best

G'day James,
Plenty of opportunity in Sydney, if you want to do a bit of harbour and social sailing, drop down to the Sydney amateurs (SASC) and they have a Friday night twilight which is a good introduction.
If you are a little more grand prix/ offshore, CYCA or Middle harbour (MHYC).
There are clubs up at pittwater and down around botany bay or port hacking.
All/most of the clubs have web-sites and crew lists to add your name and phone number to. These can be helpful because you can look at the sailing program.
I'm not a fan of the crew lists, but I know for sure that if you hang around most of these clubs on a race day, there is always
someone looking for a hand.....
Cheers

G'day James. I don't race, preferring a bit of Broken Bay and offshore cruising. What is your sailing interest?
Cheers
