A Bluebird shouldn't have any trouble getting into the lake, even at low tide, but check with Marine Rescue Lake Mac, with regards to actual depth at bar.

I have been told to favour the northern edge of the first set of leads, from offshore to crossover. A TO B.
B to C, just keep the leads in line, they will be behind you, on the southern shore.
The red lines are descriptive of the way in, but not accurate, Follow the Leads, the channel is marked all the way to the drop over.
Marine rescue is the small building in the triangular area, to the right of the name Reids Reserve.
After you have crossed over to the northern side, the channel is deep, and you will follow the northern shore to the bridge. There is a jetty outside the R.S.L. club, and some courtesy moorings if you need to wait for the bridge and dont want to do circles...
After you are through the bridge, the channel follows the western shore, then another crossover, to south of the boat ramp, then down to VMR boatshed.
You then follow the leads down to the drop over.
I haven't been down the channel for a while, but the red square is the area I have had trouble with, but I draw 2mtrs. This are has been dredged but Lake Mac Marine rescue will let you know the current state of the channel.
Its still early to be picking the weather, but if you can get to the entrance by about 2pm on Sunday, it should be close to slack water low tide, and you should be able to go in on a rising tide. Lets hope the prediction of approx. 15kn SSW is right, you should have a great sail up, dont forget an EPIRB, if you go more than 2nm offshore, but the usual trick going north is to hang in close to shore to try and stay inside any southerly current. Make sure you have a proper marine chart, there are some bricks to avoid along the way.
