With the RedBull Illume 2023 Image Quest now open for submissions I've had a few followers who have asked how I go about some of my Skydio 2+ solo shoots

Combing back through the last 18 months or so of footage that will be eligible and competition worthy - the scenic locations I have foiled in Western Australia are some of the best in the world

Since I was down in Busselton supporting my girlfriend as she competed in the Busselton 100 Triathlon I had plans to re-visit the famous Castle Rock for this novelty session and lucked out with some brief sunshine amongst the clouds!

As the 'dronie' skill is probably my signature go-to shot because it's easy to implement with Beacon only flights - I decided to do a raw drone flight with audio from my Instamic Pro+ and narrate what's involved in framing a cool shot

Settings - 4k60p 1/120th ND16 filter

I had a recent efoil experience where the water was so clear with the sun directly overhead and it was so hard to tell how far I was off the water.. The glassy water looked almost oily causing slight dizziness..

yeah I should have committed haha!

sometimes with the crystal clarity it causes sort of a vertigo effect, and yeah oil slick conditions are trippy it's like you don't have any feedback from the foil
