I have the Duotone Midfish and it is a fantastic board......
5'2" @ 38 litres, Im 6' and 88Kgs
However, I use a backpack based assist, so the signal connection is 100% reliable and fault free.
If I use my assist in the board mounted position (like a standard FoilDrive setup) then the signal is 99% non existent and Id need to get signal windows in the board and tracks
After using the backpack solidly for the past 4 months, I went out on a trench board with my assist board mounted and it felt like I was driving a truck...only did the one session then came in and swapped back to the backpack system.

The Cloud IX AquaKeel looks to be a great option if you don't want to go trench board, Im looking forward to trying one at Merimbula in November.

Lots of good foils out there at the moment. Flitelab Flux is worth a look.
Board depends whether you go FoilDrive or not. Foil drive is better with a trench or channel.
Riift is an option too, soon 😆

I have nothing against duotone, but don’t like any of their gear. Plenty of better Aussie or kiwi brands locally owned to support.
