Surf Freight provide a very low cost for boards, no unloading and loading at depots.
Just sent a board from Newcastle to Gold Coast for $80.

John, I used to provide board and bike transport when I had a big van as I have a rural property Byron Hinterland and travel between Sydney and Northern Rivers approximately every 6 weeks. I'm coming back to Sydney just before Australia Day and could put on my roof rack if you get stuck
Try here perhaps ?

Some couriers won't even transport "surfboards" so if you must, describe contents as summink else. I think I used "foilboard" last time and it was accepted
