Just had 2 weeks in the NW and got some great conditions. Been foiling for 4 or 5 months only so be easy on me
Constructive feedback welcome. I know I have to get my feet closer to the centreline Way easier to foil up there than the SW with slower breaking waves and less rocks to hit. Tides were pretty kind. Fun times.

Nice small clean day:

Bigger day but I broke my Revl mount on the first wave you see in the vid, bugga:

Anyone interested in the rides I had a 870m paddle back on a combo of two wave joined together

I almost gave up as I was getting trashed all the time. It was just going out in the wrong conditions. Any wind will make it harder. Glassy soft rollers are easy. My son pissed me off as he got up on the foil first go on the easy day

Killing it Hilly , all that time in those sh!t conditions has paid off you can see it in your take offs in the second video , catching the over foil and sitting in the steeper part of the wave. Well done mate , I bet you have the bug bad now. Your set up looks spot on too.

Thanks guys yes have the bug bad and the Soloshot finally started working ok again, PITA piece of tech that is. The wind issues meant most of my footage was useless and my Revl lasted one wave when I broke the mount.

Yes Casso uses a Soloshot 3. He puts a wind guard around his I think.

How do you keep it safe on the beach so no feral Knicks it?

I lock it to a fence or tree with a wire cable.

I don't bother with my wind guard anymore. Too bulky to carry around and still got the shakes a bit anyway. Now I just don't use my Soloshot on windy days.
