Some great wind on the Goldie this weekend . Knocked out a couple of 24km downwind runs on the dings . Got down to 2.19min kms with an average of 26kph. I'm on the 5m DT Echo with the Axis 980 ( pic below) , Beau is on a 4m Wasp on the 1600 Takuma & Mario on a 7m Duotone Echo on a Takuma 1300. Some great vision on Garmin 360 cam strapped to my boom.

Ha,I'm staying on Goldie atm saw you guys guys heading past Mermaid , wind looked great then, and it dropped off later.
Like the look of the 5m echo Piros, I have a 4m wasp that I strap a paddle to for a boom ,but In hindsight I think a 5m would have been a better size for the wind strengths we generally get on the east coast.Any downsides to to the Echo ?

Not a bad day for a DW northly run as Ben and I did the seaway to currumbin on the foil with paddle, swell was a bit east so a lot of going left but the last few KM's into Currumbin was really fun.

We also did a Power ding( I like this name for wing ding down wind) the day before in about 15knots and did a 30km average which was fun for a lighter wind day.
