The results

The first 5 place getters were on 12'6" boards, followed by 14' boards. Why is it so? 14' boards are faster I thought. The conditions were flat too which would give even more advantage to the faster 14 footers. Maybe all the good paddlers use 12'6" boards for some reason?

The prizemoney was on the 12'6 class.
The elite paddlers are just that much better.
If those guys were on 14 footers they would be another 10 mins in front....

I was on a 14'. I personally would have been faster on a 14 foot 3 foot wide tinny. it was friggin sloppy conditions.

Too True

Guys own the 25inch boards etc but find when a good downwind (or in this case a bad one) some are better on a wider board for the stability, rather then getting a good run/slide and then falling off....
