Interesting. But what do you conclude from that?

And why have two Aces of the same dimensions?

- Laird Pearson Arrow Surfer (SurfTech): 10' x 28.5" x 4" = 22 pounds with deckpad and thruster fin set.

- L41 Simsup S4 custom: 8' x 30" x 4 5/8" = 16 pounds with deckpad and quad fins.

You need to be very careful comparing weights from manufacturers specs as some manufacturers tend to be very conservative with their advertised weights while others can go a long way in the other direction. I don't know for sure if it happens in the SUP industry but having been in the canoe/kayak industry for many years some manufacturers have even been known to quote weights to specifically target their competition and be way wide of the mark on the actual weight of their own product.

When it comes to the crunch, test the board in the store and make a decision there, its the only way to be really sure.

Starboard say 12.6kg I think for the 2016 Hybrid All Star 14x25.

http://star-board-sup.com/2016/boards/14-0-x-25-all-star/

But that may be without fin. Although I doubt the fin will weigh 1kg.

Somewhere in the fine print you will probably find a disclaimer of +/- 6% on weight. At least that's what they used to say. 1.1kg is just outside that window.
