That's what I did.....two holes......nylon braid threaded through.....arardite 5 minute adhesive to plug the gaps.
This camera ain't going nowhere :) Have lost about 3 gopros in past.....maybe 4 hee hee
You may want to cover the cord inside the case with some epoxy, to prevent the cord core acting as a wick and letting the water in.
