Don't know... love the idea of the lighter LTD.... but LOVE the HRS durability.

Anyone surf them both and have an opinion... please give your thoughts.

No one seems to know what they weigh... I've heard there's a 1 kg difference... is that a big deal

STC.......I first thought go the lighter version but then remembered you treat your SUPs tough and like to just surf and not ever be bothered about damage. Maybe the HRS is the better option for you? Saying that, if you have the cash and don't mind the odd repair then have you heard many people griping about the lighter version being too fragile.....not heard that being a major issue on forums. However, knowing that you like a stable but fun platform.......ever thought about demoing one of the new wide Naish Sups? I reckon you could have a good stable platform like your 8 10 but with bags more performance. Of all the SUPs on the market just now I reckon these look the most fun if you have the option of using it regularly in waist to whatever high waves. As for me......as you know....I have found my perfect Sup :-)

Slab... the wider Naish looks great. Too expensive.

The guy I get my Fanatics from offers "Zoners" 20% of everything... everyday. That translates to about $1,000 less than the Naish.
I have and love a 9'5 Mana... but it doesn't go out over 4 feet.... The HRS Allwave construction has earned my trust, the Naish construction has definitely NOT earned my trust.... seen too many Naish fold in our beach breaks. I don't see much feedback on the Prowave LTD construction anywhere.

They are ALL expensive... I'm trying to be prudent in my purchase.... BIG $$$ differences

?1,000 less...crikey are they that expensive? Don't think I would bother also....SUPs are getting ridiculous expensive but obviously folk have the money as they are being bought. Doesn't sound a good advert if there's plenty being folded too. Stick to what you know works and if your waves are hard on boards then go HRS....

Take it you are after the 9ft 6? Going up in length?

All I'll say is the ProWave Ltd is awesome but not very strong - it is easy to split it with a miss timed paddle stroke... This seems to be the same issue other people have with it - but I do SUP 5 times a week so read into that as you will. Great boards but...

When I say split I mean hairline cracks in the epoxy.

I only moved from Naish to Fanatic so I could SUPsail.

That is quite surprising I have not had any issues the innegra in with the carbon should mean that your paddle just bounces off without damage, as for strong in general, I have been out in triple overhead and been smashed and have not had any issues.

Ok... I have an answer to my own question:

9'6 Prowave with pad... no fins

LTD = 7.7 kg ---17.0 lbs
HRS = 9.7 kg ---21.4 lbs

Whew... that was tough.

By the by.... I ordered the 9'6 in HRS, because I trust that construction, and I feel that most of the added weight will be under foot, not out near the pointy little nose.

And... I won't see the board till late April... it appears that you blokes are getting all the shipments till then
