Hello people. Im looking at getting either the 8'6 or 8'2 fanatic pro.

Could someone please post some close up pic's of the boards. In particular the rails, tail, thickness and rocker. Maybe a little review to would be great. I have not been able to find one to look at. Dont want to buy a mystery board thats all.

Hi Paul

Im 88kg experienced rider, riding the coreban nitro at the moment. Find it quite stable. I think Im a ripping, lip snapping king, my surf buddies will probable disagree. Hopefully they comment. Im tending towards the 8'6.

its really stable and good in bigger fuller/fatter waves.

Thanks for all your feedback. The Fanatic Pro Wave 8'6" has been on my list for quite a long time and it is good to have some info on it. I am around 70kg, experienced surfer and SUPer and I have been riding boards around 8'8" and 110 liters with no prob. Reason I don't want to go smaller is I like to use the board for some flat water paddling andI guess the 8'2" might be too limiting.

The only reason I haven't got the 8'6" in my quiver yet is that there are none of these boards in New Zealand at the moment....! Jacko if you can ship one of yours that would be appreciated .

Also the Fanatic construction has never let me down, I used to own a Fly 10'6" that I took in some gnarly 4-5ft NZ west coast waves without any problem.

We just sold our last 8'6" ,, more on the way. The 8'10 is my preferded size in Chch , but i'm 85kg . The 8'6' would be great board for the coast though at 70kg ..Let us know if if you are keen on one !

i am 96kg and enjoy both the 92 allwave and the 92 prowave. i bought the allwave first but then after testing the pw in good conditions had to get that too. i find both these boards excel in slightly different conditions. given my druthers id go out on the pro but if its choppy or lots of water movement or you have to schlepp a fair way to the break go the allwave. i am often happily surprised at the way the allwave will take a big drop that you are sure you will pearl on. the pw just rips when you get on one. so 160/96=1.66L per kg and 130/96=1.35L/kg do the math for 70kg.
