I have a chance to get one at a good price.

Can anyone advise if this is an OK gps watch for SUPping and Kayaking or kite surfing

Pro and cons would be good, thanks

Its a good basic watch for tracking where you have been and recording your speeds per kilometre etc. You can only have very basic intervals on it eg 1 min off 3 min on. It is not possible to programme a full workout into it. As a 1st GPS watch it is very good value at less than $150 I think.

Well I headed into the shop with the deal on the Garmin Forerunner 15 - sold out.

But for $20 more got the Garmin Forerunner 25.

$20 extra but well spent as all I wanted was a simple phone that is not a smart phone. Compared with the 15 the 25 is thinner has 32% larger face area, picks up satellite very quickly, easier to use, has blue tooth etc etc

I am very happy.
