Hi guys, looking at getting a distance touring board some time next yeaar, and want to do my homework first and try to demo what I can. Looking at 14ft, no rudder, and want the option to add accessories / children. As additional nice to have options, would like to be able to downwind, glide smaller waves, ocean and river touring will be it's primary use.
So far, looking at Laird coastrunner, Bark explorer and Tahoe SUP options. Going to Tahoe in May so will demo their range. Maybe the same with the Bark. Even thinking of maybe bringing a board back from the US if the exchange is good.
Any opinions on those three for starters, and am I missing something else that might be around.
Cheers, J.

if in Tahoe, check out Lakeshore Stand Up Paddle - nice boards, cheaper than TahoeSUP, and in my opinion, better. One of their boards just set the world record, length of the Mississippi. I'm trying to get 2 of their boards sent here

Not the fastest Sup but very stable and great for loading up equipment. Volume is 281 litres.

The new 14' NSP would be another good option.

Have you considered a Hobie 14? I've tried a lot of 14's The Hobie is a seriously awesome all-round board. its got great glide, and looks great on water. I'm in love with mine so much so I brought 2 -- one for day to day use, and one for lake holiday house!
