Are these paddles suitable for surfing?

I have a JP Fusion and do a mix of flat water and surfing. I am in the market for a new paddle but funds don't allow for 2 so I was thinking an adjustable paddle might be the go.

Will this paddle handle surfing? I really only surfing up to 4ft.

i've had a vario version for over a year now have no real reason to change. i use different lengths for surf, flat and chop

also great being able to adjust it for friends, wife, son's girlfriends etc

even extended way out it dosn't have any slop in the join. feels just like a one piece

I used one for a year and a half. Fantastic to be able to keep it shorter for surf and then longer for flat water. The option of adjusting it mid paddle was also very handy.

Having said that, I snapped it in 2ft surf. Now have a Ke Nalu and it's hands down better. So much lighter and feels so much stronger. Haven't played with the extendable handle yet but the option is there at least.

Obviously very different price points but if you know you are going to be paddling long term then at least have a look at whether you want to pay the extra money.

I've found there isn't much discounting for paddles. So if you're paying full price then make the most of the service the shops have to offer and demo any paddles you can get your hands on!

I don't think the flex will be a problem as I'm only 173cm tall so I wont have it at full extension.
