Any thoughts as a bop style, downwind cheap all rounder?

I have paddled one, but a mate of mine has got one.

He more than happy with it and thinks its goes quite well for one of the "cheaper" board brands

If you're looking at the NSP 12 ft. Check out the 12ft SupAtx. A lot Cheaper with a free carbon Paddle. They surf much better due to the thinner rails. They are a little easier to ding as they are reasonably traditionally made and I don't know if Lahui Kai have anymore to sell. I had an 11 ft NSP which was bullet proof. If you are going to do Downwinders you need to go 12'6 minimum and purpose built. 12 ft boards just cant generate the speed needed to link runners unless you are built like a gymnast ie. Warwick from RPS.

Try the search tab.. I paddled it and took some pictures.. even one of it planking..

I don't know how to paste a link using this stupid iPad.

It's a very nice board.

Try search or google.. 'A new board from NSP'.. and.. 'One last paddle on the new NSP'.

I've demo'd that exact model. I was surprised at how heavy it was (mind you im only 68kg's and used to riding a 9'3). Performance was nice in the water and very stable. Good for a beginners board but I can imagine you would be upgrading pretty soon if you were wanting to be serious about racing
