I've paddle the 12'6" standard built and found them ok, go the coconut if you can afford it, heaps easier to get on the car.

Scott,I have NSP 12'6" race,E2(not coc0mat) perfect for flatwater and long distance, value for money and will glide on small waves.
Went for a downwinder on it the other day, conditions were slightly cross shore, which ment a lot of paddling on one side,we don't get very big waves even in 20 knots, but this board has plenty of glide and could pick up waves easy.
I'm sure their are plenty of better boards out there, but for the price this is good value....ps.I have two, one is for sale.

cheers mate, i figure they look like pretty good value. I am currently trying to ascertain how much i would really use it, to try to determine if it is worth getting one.
Happy for you to PM me what sort of $$ you are chasing for yours.
Thanks,
Scott.

We live in a flat water location, so it gets used a lot , if I you are going to paddle any distance I would recommend you get some sort of flat water race board , it will open up a whole lot more paddling experiences.
