Hi Suppers
I'm thinking of getting a second hand Naish Nalu 10.6, has anybody had problems with their Naish Nalu board?
Also, any positive feedback on the board would be great.
Cheers

Harold Iggy created a classic with the 10'6 Nalu.... a board that never goes out of style.
You can't go wrong with this board.
Good in small surf, good in bigger surf!

Awesome board.. Just make sure it's not the original 10'6" Nalu that was only about 28" wide with a stepped rail.. The new shape ones are about 30" wide.

No the Nalu is not a tough board. It is very light and fragile.

A general comment: boards can be quite fragile one year and reliable another year, so it is hard to judge the quality of a board based on experience with older models.

This said, the only time I saw a board fold in three (not just two) parts was a 2011 Nalu of a friend in knee-high waves session... But it was repaired and had plenty of sessions afterwards without issues... so bad luck is also a factor.

As you might of guessed I have a few naish boards .all mine are carbon or GT .
I find the GT very tuff .
i ride the 9.1 &8.8 x32 .i also own a 2015 11,4 GT .my daughter uses this a lot .usually it has at least 3 riders
On at one time .the gloss finish is great ..
still looks great after 3 years .yes don't ride them up on the beach don't drop them on the tar mac
and don't smash them against walls and door way s.they will handle a fair bit ..

yes heavier board will be tougher ...but they don't surf as good or as easy to throw on the roof of your car .
2015 2016 2017 .you should be right ..cobra had some issues in 2014 ,but sorted it out .

there is a 10.8 Quest ,they are heavier but tough as nails .surfs similar to the 10'6 Nalu
but paddles a lot faster due to less rocker ...it nose rides amazing .

I had one but a mate liked it that much ..he had to have it ...I had 9 boards at the time .so let it go .
might buy another one as I liked the way it paddled ..quiet fast for a board that size .

I've had a few.. No probs and very happy.

I have a few friends with them.. Again no probs and very happy.

I have heard of the odd problem but imo it's pretty rare.

I have a 2016 gtw. Very light but the nose crumpled twice. It also chips easily and dents easily. Having said that it is amazing to surf but I will not use it in hollowish beach breaks. I have a 9.6 quest for ugly surf. Much heavier but very strong.
