Hey Rick. Did you have anymore feedback on the Up vs the creek?
I was looking at a smaller wave agile board like the hipster twin, or twin pro- but an 8’1 Up has landed in my country which I’m now debating.
Casso said he prefers the Up even in smaller junkier waves? Which surprised me, but has me intrigued.
I also have a Smik spitfire pintail 8’2 at 107l, so the 98l 8’1 Up should be a bit more refined and agile?
Thanks for contacting me via text... it was good talking Ghosts!
The Creek has always been a super solid board in all surf.... handles size and juice with ease,
These days I prefer the way the Ghosts surf... easy, fast and snappy.
Having never ridden any SMIK, I can't compare them to the Ghosts.
The Ghost Up is a great one board quiver.... although it was designed to handle size and power, it turns out to be a great small wave board as well.
I ride it as a Twin Fin when the waves are smaller or fatter, Twin with 3.6" Trailer fin if medium juice and Thruster when it's game on.
Today was nice clean surf, so I went thruster but the tide was filling in so I should have gone Twins because the waves got fat as the sun came up.
