I picked a waterproofed iPod to amuse myself when doing solo fitness flatwater runs.

I often head off for a flat water fitness session up river with headphones on (looking pretty silly), and there will be a little ankle to knee-high wave at the river mouth, down the beach or a little reef which I can't resist so I regularly abandon the fitness session to surf. My non-SUP mates don't like me calling this surfing.

Result - lots of field testing for the waterproofed iPod shuffle. To my surprise after a couple of dozen dunkings over a few months it still works.
