Have been looking around for a smaller board and have narrowed it down to 3 and just wanting some opinions on build quality and which one will let me progress further than the others...if any
The boards are:

starboard widepoint 8'10
simon anderson 9' carrier
fanatic allwave 8'10"

I am an intermediate rider and feel I need a bit of width for stability if I am going down this small

Check the Allwave review I wrote a few further back. The 8'.10" would surf like a 6'6" Fish and is very stable, plus you could use it for Windsurfing if necessary.
