Hi gang, a few paddlers have enquired as to the weight of the new 572 model. As it's the first board and is substancially larger than the old 16' I wasn't game to even guess what the finished weight would be but now as she approaches completion I am way happy to report that the scales are reading a mere 12kgs even. It still requires a lightweight filler, sanding and painting although I'm confident these wont even add a full kilo to the finished weight! We haven't skimped on the glass either and the newie is quite strong, so we're pretty exited to get it coming in at a shade under 13kgs finished. The 448L which is the womens 14' stock model is progressing nicely and the guys 14' is not too far behind that, I'll post some pics of these early next week as well as some of the completed 572 undergoing sea trials.
