I recently test drove the new Walden 9'11". It is a very diferent animal to the 10'10".
The 10'10" apeared to be their first real attempt at a production SUP. The 10'10" is a pretty good beginners board(it is over 30 inches wide)with a so so deck pad , colour scheme and no handle. Having said that, jeez it floats well and genuinely surfs.
The 9'11" on the other hand has a great colour scheme, full attractive deck grip, a well placed handle and goes like the clappers. The crew at Walden have stepped up to the plate and produced a hot rod! It traversed collapsing white water sections with lightness and finess,it enabled real live off the lip re entries and rockin cutties/laybacks. I'm not the worlds best supper by any means but the new Walden helped me imagine that I was just for a little while.
