If someone ( in his own environment) with a cricket bat belts someone else over the head and kills them the family rightfully calls for him to be jailed.
If a dog ( in its own environment)is running wild and biting people they take it down the pound and shoot it.
If a murderous shark is eating people the cry is "don't kill it, it is in its own environment"
If that bastard of a thing swims around the bay and eats a child now how do the shark apologists feel then.
I don't advocate decimating the shark population, but if they eat people they should be dispatched.
I would like to shove a shark down the pants of the next idiot I hear that says sharks don't really like eating people. They seem to do it on a fairly regular basis.

Elbeu Im hearing you brother, I been spending time in the ocean for 25 yrs and respect all ocean going beasts, But white pointers are territorial things and test out stuff with there mouth, I dont beleive in killing all sharks and going crazy... But if a great white is stalking a popular swimming beach , get it out of there Im sick of all the airy fairy crap about great whites, there not a koala bear there a friggen killing machine

I'm with Elbeau, Brooko and Bnaccas, hunt down and kill the "rouges". By the way, as far as keeping the balance goes, man didn't seem to have too many issues with wiping out smallpox and it was part of the natural environment!!!! Just a thought.........

Drink drivers that kill innocent people I concider murderers and more often than not get off scott free.
Did you know statistics show that more people are killed by falling coconuts than sharks.
I think being in the wrong place at the wrong time be it standing under a coconut tree when that nut drops ,behind the wheel when a drink driver crosses the medium strip,standing on the corner when a drive by takes place, swimming in the ocean when a hungry shark comes in, is all part of fate a destiny. to fear it is to fear life, if you don't want to be attacked by a shark maybe you should not swim in the ocean because if you do your cutting down the odds.

There are people who think this world is all for them and would happilly kill off any threat from other predators so they can walk this land of theirs without fear, these people I despise. look back in history what we have done to wolves and the big cats , hysteria!! when what we should be fearing most is our own.

Sharks dont "murder" humans murder . "Murderous Jaws" total sensationalism.

Elbeau I almost was taking you seriously until you started ranting about Global Warming and worldwide food production. For sure if there is a rogue shark that is habitually approaching/attacking humans then I advocate measures to deal with that shark. But trying to then turn it into a general rant about GW and the green revolution makes you sound like a crank. And not a very smart one at that.

1) The amount of reputable scientists who believe GW is a natural phenomena is outnumbered approx 10-1 by scientists who believe it is anthropogenic in origin.

2) 1950 was indeed about the start of the green revolution. But did you know this massive increase in crop yields was facilitated mostly by use of fossil fuels to use in agricultural industry (tractors etc) and fertiliser production (synthesising anhydrous ammonia out of natural gas). Once those fossil fuels run out (something that is even more certain than anthropogenic GW) humanity will have to find something else to power the tractors and make the fertiliser. So before you crown yourself genius try and take a look at the big picture Elbeau.
