Aloha everyone,
Finally got to test out my brand spankin new 9 10 PSH Ripper in good overhead surf. Great board!! The board needs some juice to really feel its full potential. It has great glide to get into the bigger stuff, but still goes rail to rail very well. Riding it as a thruster setup with Pancho future side fins and the K2D2 4.75 fin from Fins Unlimited in the center. No problems with sliding and was riding it in some early season Hawaiian north swell juice!! If your looking for a high performance board for good powerful waves, this is the one!!

Every board manufacturer has a board or two that are 'sleepers'

In the PSH range the 9'8 and the 9'10 Ripper are two boards that are understated, often overlooked but continue to attract a growing band of dedicated followers.

The 9'10 has always been one of my favorites (at 90kg) in 4'+ especially when the swell period is UP!

The 9'8 would feel the similar for those under 90kg looking for a 'gunnier' Ripper.

It is this style of board that inspired Blane to shape the 12' Gun Ripper.

Go the GUNS!

Thanks for posting the pic AA. The board has that small swallow that the 9 6 wr has. You're absolutely right AA, the 9 8 and 9 10 are "sleepers". I guess because they are more specialized boards for powerful, surf. I still love my 9 6 WR and its my favorite board, but it doesn't have the paddle in glide when the waves pick up and get powerful.

Okay, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, the 9 10 ripper is an unreal board! Now I know why Blane Chambers raved about this board. Used the board in double overhead freight train waves at H-Bay and the board was ON FIRE! Very fast down the line and very solid on the turns. If you are looking for an SUP that loves REAL WAVES, this is the one!
