Here is the blank I just had cut for my 9' stubby. Concept is for a board that I can take on the plane to relatively wave free Far North Queensland, something to exercise paddle on flat water and maybe catch some little down-winder waves. If there are some small waves at least have a muck around. It's 9' x 29'5"

Needs to be floaty and stable so everyone can have a go, as it stands the blank has 190 litres of volume, I'm going to put a V into the top of the front of the board so that any slop that comes over the nose runs off, then hollow out a standing area that runs right to the back. I'm guessing that it will come out at about 170 litres or a bit less.

Thinking that I'll go for canoe type nose with nice round rails at the front then by about half way sharpen up the rails to help it track a little straighter. Planning on keeping the bottom pretty much flat, might go for a little bit of V in the tail.

If anyone has some ideas about rail shape, or bottom shape I'd love to hear them...and if you have to make fun of it at least keep it clean!
