Great photos well put together. how do you do that kind of stuff? By the way over the whole year on average how many surfs do you get a week say comparing winter and summer ? I'm in Perth and we have pretty crap surf and have had a poor winter and a very flat summer so far. Cheers.
Thanks mate. Appreciated.
I take photo's pretty much every session and have done for about 7 years having over 20,000 images saved in date order on Flickr which is an online photo storage site.
I try and get in the water whether surf or SUP every day but with a 3 year old, it's not possible to be fair to my wife but I get in the water 4 or 5 mornings a week and if I miss the early, try and squeeze a work time session in as I work on the coast so I'd say on average I have a surf 5 or 6 days a week and if I'm lucky 2 sessions in one day when it's good.
As for seasons, it's changed a lot in the last 10-15 years. May used to be big southerly swells, we'd get an ECL with good nor east swell each Nov (1998 was epic with 22 days of 5 foot plus solid NE swell in the month), March saw QLD cyclone swell remnants and summer generally was consistent small offshore mornings with NE wind swell in the arvo but it's all out the door now and I'd have to say not one month is better than the other in the whole 12 month period.
Aug to Oct are the windy months with strong off shores but with classic days in between so the crap days are rest days ! I'd say Sept is the worst month to be in Sydney or surrounds.
Winter is not even that less crowded now with wetsuit technology. More noticeable in the last 3 years but when it's crowded or not so good, we SUP the Bay, River or wait for arvo DW's.
I use Windows Movie Maker 2.6 for the vids. Pretty easy to use, free and does what's required with no fuss. I'm sure there's better more advanced ones but I'm just a hack so it does me.
Thanks again, 2010 was a great year my end.
