Oh mate- I snapped mine twice (same one). The physio suggested cycling 6 months in to rehab and it snapped again first cycle!
That's actually how I got in to paddleboarding as I couldn't surf while wearing my moonboot.. so I literally started catching waves on a sup while fully strapped in so my archilles couldn't move!
As others said, rehab is soo important. Also find a really good physio and despite how good it might feel after 3-4 months- DO NOT push it or you will break it again.
Also be really careful with getting out bed In the night to go to the bathroom etc. A lot of people have snapped theirs again when in a tired state and pinging it while getting off the bed. Get the wedge shoes (built up heel) when you are ready so that you can still work out and make sure that the archillies doesn't stretch past a certain point.
That's a savage and scary story. How does it treat you now?
