I'm working feverishly prepping the new 572 and Danny Sheard and Woogie Marsh are hard at it prepping their bodies for the October 25th Seaway to Seaway relay race but I'm curious, does anybody know if there are any other teams planning to race 18's in the event?..........Stuey

Hey Stuey heard that Ryan Taylor & Partner are entering it and Guy Walker & Partner are entering both teams are trainign hard on the Gold Coast - I think a little bit of in house rivally might be happening there.

Also Ryan has just opened a new Restaurant in Kirra - everyone invited there for a feed after the race.

Hope Ryan T. is riding his old Penetrator 16'. Partner as in partner? Will there be mixed doubles teams?.........Stuey

Yeah Mick's 18 is on the water I'll be training with them tonight , I saw it after it was shaped it's a wild looking machine.I'll let you know how it goes against the 3 other DC16's. Clarky's E-J18 will also be doing the race so thats 3 18's.

Just got back from a training session with some crew.

Mick's board looked great and was keeping up with the DC16's

I had a quick go on Dale's latest DC16 and it was pretty fast.

Wish i could afford one.

Ya never know Benny-boy, we are looking at possibly having a get together and demo day up here at Noosa. Bit of a bbq, some sup drag-racing, (no that's not racing in womens clothes), $30 entry fee and you go into the draw for one of our new 14's. Just an idea at the moment......Stuey

P.S. Hope your Dad is on the mend.

the WUDUKU17 footer is a big board and just something i wanted to do ,to catch the bumps on the the big windy days .got some fine turning with the rudder system but it was fun paddling with currumbin creek crew and for the amount of paddling i have done it went well and is in the ball park in the flat water .I think i will make a smaller volume one now and narrower and get it lighter ,so come on down tuesdays and thrusdays 5.30pm for a paddle at the currumbin creek and have a laugh at the going ons .
p.s this board will be up for sale soon ,so i can make a model 2 ,$ 1600

It's a different looking board Mick but the water did seem to be releasing nicely from the wide tail , with plenty of lift in the nose and the flatter tail I think it will pick up the bumps & runs easily on a down winder.

It's great training in a group again checking out all the different boards and techniques , see you on Thursday.

A free board would be sick but it's no use having a 14 footer if there are guys racing on bigger boards.

I think you will find the bigger the sport gets the more divisions there will be. They will end up spliting all the bigger boards into divisions 14ft, 16ft and 18ft. But only time will tell

Well, if you win the 14 footer then Jake - you could just give it to me while you hold out for a 16.

Don't forget there is generally a 14' class - so you won't have to compete with the 16' boys.

I'd rather the classes be 12' and under and unlimited and none of this 14' because its only 2 foot difference seems like a waste of class.

Saw Clarkies Ejackulator-- 16 being glassed at a secret location on the Gold Coast today and it is looking real good!!.

Picked it up and balanced it on one hand( admittedly before the final top glassing) but it is very light.

Soon to cum out of the shaping bay to have the rudder fitted.

Doing a great job!!

Very impressive.

Ben, we are absolutely blown away! The 572 hit the water this arvy and it has exceded even my high expectations. My son Ryan just spent 3 hours editing an awesome 4 minute vid went to put the title on and lost the lot into cyber-space! He nearly threw the computer out the window but calmed down and is going to re-do it in the morning. It should be up by lunch tomorrow and will put an end to any debate about the value of waterline length! Seriously the thing motors, especially with Woogie aboard as test pilot.........Stuey
