To all interested parties. We are meeting at the Spit Mooloolaba (right at the end) 9:00am Sunday morning. Please tell anyone you know who SUPs to be there as we need to make a few decisions on how this will be set up. We are going to have a bbq (snags and bread provided) and then a paddle hopefully on the bombie!

Make sure you wait 30 minutes after the snags before you paddle!

Good to hear it's going on everywhere. The way things are going SUP clubs will need it's own governing body!

first step is download the application for incorporation of an "incorporated not for profit association "from dept of fair trading qld, cost is $113,you will need a president a treasurer and a secretary listed ,a bank account and a po box.and a few members.download the affiliation forms from surfing qld.or talk to mark grison on 55201165.he will tell you it is $165 to affiliate for this year till december, then $440 a year for insurance both for members and committee, surfing qld will not do affiliation till you have an incorporation number/certificate.but it all can be done via fax/email/phone/credit card.piece of cake.when you fill out the incorporation forms adopt the model rules/constitution,its easier.and also put in a couple of names you would like to be called, our chosen names were knocked back and we chose the new name and got that, all done over the phone, they called me.total cost was $278.that can be raised easily from 10 members at $30 joining fee,we did $30 single and $40 family for foundation members, not too expensive in todays economy, give them something for their money, free food, get some donations of product for raffles and door prizes, away you go
