That's fantastic Piros, smart use of technology, export a file, not a board.
Just feel a little bit of aussie cultural cringe though. Aren't there any local shapers who actually have experience with the breaks where the custom shape will be used who could feed the shape to Dale.
I guess it's all about experience with the technology at this stage and that will undoubtedly come with time.
On the Stand Up Zone forum there has been a lot of discussion about the custom downwind boards from SIC and Bill Foote.
I can see a time when you could contract Footemaui or SIC or Bark to design a board for you and have it made locally instead of freighting the thing. I guess one of the issues would be ownership of design, little bit scary to upload your latest shape to a competitor. Or even better - a DC or a Penetrator made in Maui or Brittany. Imagine the cost and environmental savings when you think of transport, packing customs etc etc.
Still think knowledge of local conditions is a huge factor though.
