Just wondering if anyone ever wears their leash on their front foot when surfing? I was surfing really badly one day (falling off all the time and looking like a kook) and then for some reason I swapped my leash over to my front foot and I started SUPn so much easier... so ever since that day I have worn my leash on my front foot which is my left foot because I have a normal stance.

And when I went for a surf today (I was just on my shortboard in a dirty storm surf) I have it back on my right foot and it feels natural there...

Anyone else do this or am I just an idiot haha :)

I am quite prepared to believe that the reason I fall a lot in the surf and look like a kook is because I have the leash on the wrong (back) foot. I like that explanation better than the distinct possibility that I am simply crap.

I use my leash on my front foot.
After my crazy big knee ops i'm too scared to put a leash on my bung leg.
It sometimes is a problem stepping on the leash with my back foot but its pretty rare.
I often switch stance aswell on the waves to change things up so it sometimes it is on my back foot.
