i ride 8'6 by 27 quad fin in anything from 0.5ft-3ft then i have a 9'0 by 26 tri-fin which is used in from 4ft to what ever.

I had asked how to stand on this type of board in an earlier post and did this today in less than idea wave riding and standing around conditions. However feel I will improve at an OK rate.
Now I ask what is the best surf conditions for this size board comapred with a 9'ish wave type 130L board.
I am keen to progress but woul like advice on the most ideal conditions to do this.
