Hi.

I am looking at getting my other half a SUP, however now that summer is nearly over, thought it would be best to wait until the end of the year.

Now the question I have is, will brands discount SUP's in the cooler months to tie them over until the armer weather? I would imagine that sales would drop during the cooler periods, however I could be wrong.

Also, when is the next big SUP demo day of all the major brands going to be held in Sydney?

Cheers for any advice.

Not sure about best time but if you want to demo boards and also have a good day out check out the Sydney SUP Festival on Pittwater this weekend. Links all over seabreeze or get on Facebook and search.

Some brands are still clearing stock from last year at cheap prices. Check out standuppaddlesports.com.au for bargains on year old (but brand new) Starboard paddles and boards. They will deliver to the local Starboard retailer near you.

The best time is within a couple of days before the end of financial year and pay cash for floor stock that you can take home on the day.

Shop around until then so you know what the full retail price is

Anytime is the best time.

Buy it, use it, enjoy it, all the time.

When you no longer want to fit your schedule to the rental shop hours.

If she's keen, buy it now! If you wait for cooler weather she won't use it. It will become a dust-collector before the weather warms up again and by then she may have discovered something else. Just a cynical observation from someone who's been with the same lady for 48 years!

Yesterday!
No matter when you buy it, you will always wish you had the board before!

The time to buy is when you see it. Stock is limited and any good SUP retailer will look after you with an equivalent deal as when they have their sales on.
