I had a good time trying a Naish 9'6". The only problems are the price and the waiting time to get one shipped in. Has anyone got any other recommendations for something similiar, and if possible know the price ?
The Oxbow 9'6" Pilot should be here (in Australia) very soon.
I'm not sure of the exact price but I'd say it will be pretty good value for money.
I rode one recently and really liked it. There is a full review of the Oxbow 9'6" (along with some others around that size) on my site: www.cybersup.com
There's some guy up around the Coffs Harbour way who makes and sells his own boards. They look quite good and are pretty cost effective I think. I'm sure he could ship stuff over to WA. He may even have something around the 9'6" mark ready to go. Try this link: www.seabreeze.com.au/Members/Profile/Details.aspx?member=boardbumps
Give the 9'8 7S Uber fish a try - it is a wonderful board and is currently available throughout Australia. It surfs like a gem and for its size it is extremely stable and suitable for all conditions as well as shorter distance flat water paddling. If you want more info' or to find out where you can demo/purchase one try calling Jamie on 0447 418105. They retail for around $1550 and come standard with factory fitted deck pad and I am sure Jamie can hook you up with a great deal including paddle. Sick board - you won't be disappointed
