Just came back from camping trip to Brooms Head where a mate of mine managed to lose the middle fin on the psh. Was spewin cause didn't have a spare and didn't want to do the round trip to yamba as there was only a few days left on the trip.
My daughter found a broken winged fin in a rock pool . So after a couple beers we sunk a couple screws into the fin, cut off the heads and slid it into the fin box, formed a sinker into a wedge and pressed it in front of the fin to stop it coming forward and away we went. Got to say it wasn't too bad and at least i had something to blame for not carving it up. replaced it now i am home with no damage to the fin box. bet someone else would have had a better idea but was pretty happy with my bush mechanic efforts!!
