Any ideas about mounting a camera to a board that has full length deck grip such as NSP?

This might work... I aw a thread on the zone about foot positioning. They were talking about putting foot straps onto a board with full deck grip. Im not sure exactly how it works but seems like it could work just as well for a camera mount. You might wanna investigate further....

Hey BMaui, can you tell me anything about the foot strap on your kids' board. I guess it is like a windsurfing neoprene strap (not from windsurf background). Is it glassed in, or adhesive plugs like the EZ plugs? It looks like it would be super helpful for cutbacks, and I imagine it is pretty easy to slip your foot out to change position. Tell me more!

To go off subject for a moment the foot strap was an experiment on Noah's old 9'2 AA. We tried the front strap and found it worked well but if you had a bad wipeout your foot sometimes got stuck which is a no no. The better use was not putting the foot in strap but using the strap as a leverage for the front foot against it. This was our experiment because Noah weighs less than a 100 lbs. and we were trying to get crisper ala. shortboard surfing on the 9'2. The strap was the stick on plates by NSI (I think) and just a regular dakine strap screwed to the plates. I am working on another idea for leverage with Blane's old 9'2 AA for my son.

I have those plates to use on surfboards for kiting-they stick REALLY well. They have a screw hole to screw a footstrap in-they are about 40mm by 30mm and raised where the screw hole is-you'd need to remove a section of grip and clean the board to attach the plate. Could do the trick.
