I have had a few people ask about having a contest or forming a club here on the central coast but no one seems to be taking the first step.
So if anyone is interested send me a private message on this forum and if we can get the numbers we will give it a go.
I am thinking a social comp and paddle every 2nd month similar to the SPBC. And a weekend away camping up the coast once or twice a year.
Maybe some interclub challenges if we can get the Numbers togeather.
I will try to put up some sort of notice in the shops that sell SUP as well and see how we go.

When we started SUPSA we only had a handful of interested people but we went ahead anyway. SUPSA nearly died a few years ago but we persisted and we have a good membership base today.

You need to work out whether you have enough people who want to work together to make this happen, or not - the rest will take care of itself. It's not all about competition so don't put all of your focus into that side of things.

You will need to talk to Surfing NSW and affiliate to them. This is mainly for insurance purposes. I am sure that the Sydney club will help get you on the right path...
