Hi guys, i have been surfing long boards for decades. And as most short boarders know the long boarders are further out. Well now its the SUP's who even further out. So i thought this has got to be the go.
Just recently I watched a guy Fly fishing off a point on the west coast not far from Lorne and it looked awesome. I watched him for a little while and then when he started to paddle in he caught a nice swell that seemed to go for ages. I was totally hooked as i surf and also salt water fly fish.
So read heaps in about 2 hrs and decided on a Coreban Cruiser Woodie. Funny thing is i managed to get this SUP from NSW with postage cheaper than i could anywhere in VIC.
Anyway i hope to learn plenty off people on the forum.
PS don't tell me a bought a toilet of a board!.lol

how wide is it...

i used to fly fish eons ago, and i'd say for doing it on a sup board i'd want at least 34" of width - fishing on very glassy seas or you could be spending more time with the fishes than on yer boat!!!!!

coreban make great boards any how

what sort of fish do you flyfish for in the ocean,, if they're big enough you may not need a paddle to get around

Well, I'm going to get in early and say it. Welcome to the 'breeze mate.

And welcome to sup !

The Coreban Cruiser are a great board. You will have a mile of fun on it.

Just don't take all the waves from the long or short boarders.....they get angry. Especially Doggie. (don't worry, you'll see him sniffing around here).

Enjoy bro.

Hi guys..the board is 31' wide. and as to what i'm chasing fishing wise...mostly flatties and bream but really would love to have a go at chasing tailor.
I'm going to Noosa at xmas so if i can get in some serious goes in the next few months before i go it would be great to surf first or second point at Noosa with either the SUP or long board and fly fish the river mouth on the tide change.....well that would be the plan at any rate.

It is a very nice board.. Pretty heavy.. but still nice.

Try not to ding it because matching the wood with a ding repair would be hard.. but it's still a very nice board.. congrats..
