Well the first race is over and done and according to all accounts it was a huge success. We had 25 Men and Women race.The youngest was 13 yr old girl.

Three juniors raced later doing two laps of the course and showing great skill.

It was great to see the positve vibe after the race as paddlers introduced themselves and also tried out each others brands.

Travis Grant was unable to chat after the race. He left just before the finish as he was very sick. But he did a good job handling and turning the boards around. he apoligizes and will give a great talk at the next event.

Thanks to the helpers with set up and pull down,GREAT work guys and girls.

Next race will be held on the 1st October, another Saturday at 12 noon.

Nice to meet new paddlers and put faces to all those on the Gold Coast. Great to see the juniors racing so hard.

Local Outrigger Club will be there to take you out for a paddle in their big 6Man canoes and the kids too.
