yeah, that's more there. i noticed that look in other photo's, must be a wide ish lens on you camera. still, if i was getting one of your boards for me on the goldie i would talk to you about a bit more rocker, just interested to see what you would say and your idea's on rockers. we have all seen the photos of bending in rockers, but not much about
rocker types from you and what you like
cheers

I have to ask,

What is the fashion trend to wear bordies over wet suits???

I have seen it on 3 beaches now!

I sure my meds have not been changed?

People wear boardies over the top of the wetsuits because DJ does..

Simple as that, he's a living icon..

Interesting question, we should start another debate/tread here.
3rd from the top, is a 10'x28" my 2nd board, the sag in the middle of the board makes it look like it has more rocker. But it's about the same. Nose adout 5 1/2" Tail about 4 ish?
There is a well established/respected shaper here that puts a tail rocker of about...10" or so in SUB's & some of his mals I've seen guys paddling past with their feet just about resting on the tail up turn

As much as it pains me to say it (not really actually), one of the most comfortable things you can do to your feet is crocs and socks. Toasty warm, cushioned, free tootsies. What more can you ask?

My three most uncomfortable footwear experiences are crocs with bare feet.
- on a SUP, cold water, that rough croc inner and bare feet is pretty painful.
- shell grit, SUP and crocs also painful and the grit doesn't rinse out easily.
- crocs, no socks, and walking around Delhi equals blisters.

She's a beauty... I just need to stick on some deck grip now..

It's so light and easy to paddle.. Now I can't wait to see how she goes on a wave..

Crocks rock, however, I don't wear them paddling. Yet ........

Boardies over your wettie, I know this has been visited a million times in the Kite forum. But basically it started way back in the beginning of Wakeboarding and then kiteboarding. Unlike surfing where most of your time is spent lying down, wakeboarding, Kiteboarding and now SUP your standing all the time. This won't phase you until you see a video of your self, or heaps of photo's without a wave near you. Standing there looking like a ballerina in a nice tight man liatard. The trend seems to be going away a little bit. Waves hide the ballet look well.

Really nice looking board DJ. There is just somthing about a single fin pin tail. They always look good to me. Can you post the dimensions?

Cheers

PS: I'm a huge crocs fan too. Have 2 pairs and only wear anything else when I have too, like for work

Thanks Thomo.. The board is 9' x 32".. light as a feather and paddles straight without yawing.. Plenty of rocker tho it doesn't look like it from the top and so so stable due to the extra width and big fin.

I paddled this board for about over an hour up the river with Dean, Dale and Mark.. I was only going to paddle for a few minutes to check out if it floats me and I was so comfortable on it I could have paddle it all day.. I would never have thought this was passable on such a short board (for me).

Regarding the Crocs.. I live in them.. I work in a hospital and so many of the staff wear Crocs. The hospital Podiatrist sell them to us cheap and recommends them saying they are very good for your feet.

I only wear them if I need the grip because you can stand on a wet gloss surface and not slip (I need to buy some booties) or if I'm doing long flat water paddles because of the cushioning effect.. and when really cold for some extra warmth.. Oh yeah.. or if I have to carry my board a fair way across rough ground to get to the water... Arrr also if I'm flat water paddling over rocky areas when if I jump/fall off I don't want to cut my feet.

So.. I guess I end up wearing them alot..

Board looks nice but whats the story on only being a single fin ? I haven't seen a production board or any locally made 9-0 sup with just one fin. I see you've done to your other boards so it must work for you but have you built any thruster or quad set ups ? I know one big fin makes the board more stable but dropping a set of FCS plugs with the box gives alot more options.

Took my crocs to Vietnam. Big mistake.
Toooo sweaty and don't shed the cholera infested
gutter water fast enough!
DJ could wear his anywhere as he IS the crocmeister.(and is 6'5")

I've got a Walden 9'11" with similar rocker. Flatish on deck and
all the rocker is in the removal of the foam from that point down.
4 to 5 inches thick in the center down to 1 or 2 at the nose and tail
and thats rocker already.
I would have boards on my walls at home as artworks.
Guys like LSD are like magicians to me, I always feel slightly inadequate
seeing them at their craft.
It is an interesting time for our sport and I for one enjoy seeing LSD
latest creations.

The board looks great - the finish is spot on. Your quiver has got so large now it's going to be hard to pick a board to use.

Yeah.. Big 'flat water board' and smaller 'flat water board'.. and now big 'wave board' and small 'wave board'.. I think I have all bases covered.

Those new Naish window boards look interesting......... Just kidding..
