Tully & Keahi are through from 2nd semi, looks like Keahi got a cracker with seconds to go which took him from 3rd to 2nd.

Bad luck Casso Appsy and Dogman - but well done also!

Wow, edge of the seat stuff!
Kiahi came through under amazing pressure!
Lummers popped a fin yesterday doing a 360' and it is hanging in there with bog , hot mix and heat gun glue!

Both All Round boards definitely not dedicated shortboard SUPS by a long stretch.

Both 9ft +

Both guys are on the solid side of 90kg too I would guess???

Yer, interesting Phill. I guess the small condition suited the fuller nose All-rounders.
Matt's board is one of the original hand glasses PSH boards that came in in 2007. It is 2 years old.
Blane made a board for him for the Aussie titles but unfortunately it did not arrive in time. It would have been interesting if it had arrived!?

Hi AA,

I surfed with Matt and Rich a few times in the last month. I think it would have been a mistake for him to change boards at the last moment anyway as he has the yellow voldermort wired.

I think the all round boards will always be best for the average joe as they produce the goods on most beachs in most conditions.

For sure Phil!
Matts new board was meant to come in a few weeks ago so he could get used to it.
He was pretty relaxed about it though when he saw the conditions were going to be small up there. He definitely has the 9'2AA wired but he would rip a lot harder on a sub 9' with a full nose IMO.
